Fox News host Laura Ingraham said that she was the first student in her high school to go abroad and earned an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Ingraham, who is currently the host of The Ingraham Angle, said that the experience was a “really great lesson.”
“I was able to work from home and get a great education and be able to make connections,” Ingraham told Fox News.
“The experience really prepared me for my career.”
The Fox News interview came a day after the Associated Press reported that the Trump administration is considering closing the doors of US colleges to foreign students.
The AP reported that, under the administration of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, colleges are likely to lose their ability to offer international students a degree from the United States.
According to the AP, colleges like UC Berkeley and Boston University are not only offering an international degree but are also considering cutting back on the number of international students.
“We have a lot of international programs in the United Kingdom, we have a ton of programs in India and China,” the Education Secretary told reporters.
“It’s not just a number of students.
It’s a number, it’s a program.
It just happens to be one of the largest in the world.”
