Upenn University in Illinois will offer a free online course for students in 2019.
U.S. News & World Report reports the free online study abroad program will offer students access to up to three hours of classroom time and a study guide.
The program, dubbed “Study at Home,” will be offered at the Upenn School of Management, with full-time and part-time students and faculty alike.
Upenn officials say the online course is meant to offer students the flexibility to study wherever they are, from a classroom, to a campus, to an office, to another city.
Upenn also will offer free online tutoring for incoming freshmen, and the university will offer an online course to help with the coursework.
Upen is the second university to offer such a program.
The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC-Cha) recently announced a similar program.
